Amit Wasnik is the Founder of Ambedkarite Meitheal, an Ireland-based anti-caste and human rights organisation focused on equality, social justice, education, civic participation and community engagement. His work centres on bringing caste discrimination and marginalised histories into Ireland’s wider conversations on human rights and social inclusion, through community organising, public events, advocacy and educational initiatives. He is also a social media educator and digital creator behind @mythwasnic, where he uses accessible digital content to educate audiences on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, caste, equality, Buddhism, social justice and contemporary issues affecting marginalised communities. Amit holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from University College Dublin (UCD) and brings together technology, education and community leadership in his work.
